Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Bombay Stock Exchange of India Limited (BSE) organized regional investor seminar on “Securities Market and Common Man” at Ramgad Auditorium, Ramanagar. Addressing in the seminar Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) official said that Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) was set up in 1988 to regulate the functions of securities market. SEBI promotes orderly and healthy development in the stock market but initially SEBI was not able to exercise complete control over the stock market transactions. It was left as a watch dog to observe the activities but was found ineffective in regulating and controlling them. As a result in May 1992, SEBI was granted legal status. SEBI is a body corporate having a separate legal existence and perpetual succession, he added. The overall objectives of SEBI are to protect the interest of investors and to promote the development of stock exchange and to regulate the activities of stock market.

Students of Management Studies visited AMS (Ace manufacturing systems Pvt. ltd) Peenya industrial area on 1st October 2016. HR Manager explained the functions of different departments of the company and also showed the manufacturing process to our students.

Interactive session On “TEAM'O'LOGY 2016” - The Science & Technology of Leadership & Teamwork". Conducted on Monday, 26th September, 2016. Mr. Ujval Shankar, co-founder of TEAM WORK took over the session and has done many team games where the students participated with lot of interest for almost 3 hours.

Department of MBA Organized Panel Discussion on the topic “Soup for new employees- Industry and academia interaction” in DBIT Seminal Hall Five eminent Personalities from different background had chaired panel. Mr. Venkat Shyam Was the moderator over all Panel Discussion went on well with different from panelist to students in order to thoughts prepare them to future uncertainties. Around 300 Students wee participates from within and outside of our college & about 3 Hrs of Panel discussion made the student think proactively and get ready for feature career opportunity.

A one day programme was organized under ED Cell on 7th Oct 2015(Wednesday), where a key speaker named Mamatha, Manager of KSFC (Karnataka state financial Corporation) discussion about the importance of Entrepreneur and the policies KSFC that supports first generation entrepreneurs it was organized for both MBA – Engineering students it was a informative session where students learnt about Entrepreneurship and facilities provide to Entrepreneurs

On 28th Sept 2015, department of MBA had organized workshop on “EFFICACY of BIOFUEL” in collaboration with KSCST as part of Co- Curricular Activity. The programme was initiated by the department as social causes to know the usefulness of Biofuel & Dependency of industries on different fuels.

Conducted Industrial Visit to “UNI BIC” and Texport Syndicate Private limited and on 21st September 2015. Industrial visit was organized for both 1st & 3rd SEM students. On 21st Sept 2015, where the students was taken to two different industries:- 1) UNIBIC 2) Texport Syndicate PVT LTD

Conducted Faculty development Programme on Personality Development on July 22nd and 23rd 2015. FDP on Personality Development was conducted for in – house faculty to help them understanding the psychology of the students. It was conducted by a certified psychometric assessor trainer Ms. Sangeetha Dikshit for 2 days on various aspects of student-teaching psychology. There were about 30 faculties who attended the programme.

• Inaugural: MBA department, DBIT, conducted the Second National Level conference on the theme “CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN GLOBAL BUSINESS” for two days on 9th and 10th May 2013. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Pushpak Prakash, Managing Director, Pushpak Products Pvt Ltd., Mr. Shiva Iyer, Executive director, COO.
• During the Event: Two days conference organized at DBIT had pulled an audience over 250 people and more than 70 papers were received by researcher scholars, academicians and Industrialists. There were around 15 stalls and around 25 sponsors like janashree news, coca cola, society tea, wonderla, Nandini, pigeon, veta, radio mirchi etc.
Event Conclusion/vote of thanks: The sandal wood celebrities were the chief personalities for the conclusion of event. Mr. Srinagar Kitty was the chief guest for the inaugural function.
Winner details: The overall champion ship trophy was won by MS Ramaiah Institute of technology students where 25000 worth prizes were given.
